How's this for a baby?

Love this picture I captured of a 1 week old colt with her Mama. I saw her a couple of hours after she was born but didn't have my camera. Can you believe those long legs...ohhhhh I am so jealous! We have a place on a river in NC and there is a farm right down the road. I grew up in a city so I really appreciate seeing the animals. I also have a new favorite pastime....... trout fishing. Hope you are enjoying the spring.

What a pretty sight! We used to live across the street from a thoroughbred breeding and boarding farm and one lucky day I got to help a mare as she gave birth. It was quite exciting. From that day on, she always brought her little one over to see me by the fence.

What a sweet picture. Horses are my favorite animals, hands down. I used to ride and always loved spring and the foals that arrived with it!

Really love how your Kandinsky quilt is coming along. Each block would be beautiful in and of itself, hung on a wall!

That is the sweetest picture. I grew up new a farm that boarded horses, but I don't think i ever saw a newborn horse in person. Thanks!
